liner descriptions?

Now how is that going to sell?
Would two lines convince you to buy something? Ofcourse it wouldnt.
Get your thinking cap on, get a good description, READ THE EBOOK !
Yes read the ebook, see what it has inside, list the good parts, there is no point
trying to sell something when you dont even know whats inside.
Go to overture, its free and you can search for the main word of your ebook,
ie. say your ebook was titled Gamecube Cheats
Type in Gamecube and see all the results that come up and make sure you use as
many of those words in your description ie.

These are more likely to get your item to show up when someone searches on these words.
Mention your "keywords" several times in your description, but dont list them too many times

are the hottest nintendo gamecube games right now, asking younger family members can help with this.

You pay to list on ebay, but you dont pay anything to list on free ads sites.

Which ebooks should you list on ebay
Which ebooks should you list on eBay?
Well, really I would say any ebook you have, always give it a shot, you never know how popular it may be.
I always list an ebook on ebay at least twice, and the first time I list a new ebook I do an online ebay auction at 1p start, this lets me see how many bidders it gets ie. how popular it is, and the average price it will sell for.
Once I know the average price I then move it to my ebay shop and list it at a fixed price.
To find out which ebooks are popular remember to use the ebay shop traffic reports.
When you list any new ebook you can quickly see how much traffic it is generating, if its getting very little views then dont ditch it, change the title, your title could be making sure no one sees the ebook.
Each time you get an ebook with a high amount of views, make sure you always relist it, this will maximise the traffic coming to your store who will potentially view your other items or sign up to your newsletter.
If you keep relisting the ebooks with a high amount of views and ditching the low viewed ebooks very soon you will see a massive increase in traffic to all your auctions and an increase in your sales and profits.
Its also a good idea to do an advanced search on ebay (see my other post on searching) and just type ebook, and select completed listings only, then look through the titles and see which ones are consistently selling, get a copy of this ebook yourself and add it your own ebay listings and this will ensure you have the most popular ebooks on ebay and the ones generating the highest traffic.
Also look at eBay Pulse, you will see it on the ebay home page, this will give a listing of all the most hot / popular items on ebay at this time, if you have an ebook on this subject get it listed, if you dont, get out there and find one, better still write your own!
Now remember when you have an ebook that isnt as popular as your other ebooks, dont just ditch it and leave it gathering dust on your pc, give it to your subscribers for free, you may not want it, but I can assure you that someone will want it and will appreciate the freebie.
A final tip, when selling ebooks dont just use the title of the ebook or the ebook cover that comes with it, change it, make it your own, give it a new title make it stand out from the 1000s of others selling it on ebay, better still give it a new ebook cover if you can, this can make the world of a difference and transform your common looking ebook into a unique looking ebook.

When you have an eBay shop many people never realise its full potential.
Ok so its great to get longer listings with lower fees, but thats not all it can do.
You can make your feedback automated, saves you a whole lot of time.
You get traffic reports to see which items are bring in the most visitors and traffic.
You get ebay shop sales reports too!
You can email your ebay subscriber lists.
You can set up individual shop pages, for example I have an FAQ page o9n my ebay shop so
people can find out what an ebook is, how they get their item etc etc.
The ebay shop store can also have customised end of auction emails, customised checkout and invoices too.
There are many more features, and you have to learn them to fully utilise your ebay store, so how do you go about learning, well until I write an ebook on it, ha ha kidding! you have to take sometime one day or evening whatever suits, and click every single link thats in your shop.
Yes EVERY SINGLE LINK, you need to find out everything your shop can do for your business!
So go on, get back to your ebay store shop and make sure you click all the links and see how you can customise lots of different things to help your shop make more money for you.

Never judge a book by its cover - THE RESULT
You will remember a previous post of mine, never judge a book by its cover.
Well I stated that I had designed a new ebook cover for an ebook, foreign language
package, and I wanted to try an experiment with the price.
I used a 1p start for the auction and on average, the ebook package sold for
£1.20
Well with the new ecover, same auction start price, same description etc etc, its sold for
£4.76!
So there you go, there is the proof that a professional ecover really can
make or break your ebook.
If anyone wants a professional ecover I always run an ebay auction if
you need a decent design for your ebook, just take a trip over to:

Where is the ebook Auction action at?
Often when you list a new ebook on ebay, you expect it to be sold literally in minutes!
When its not, the panic sets in, maybe the ebook isnt good enough, maybe i have the wrong title,
maybe the ebook price is too high etc etc.
Dont be so hasty, give your ebook auction some time, when most people search for an item on
ebay, they type in a few words and get a searched list returned that match their keyword.
Next they are shown a list, if its ebooks it can be 1000s of items, now the majority of people will do one of four things, they will change the search list output to either, newly listed, ending soon, highest price first and lowest price first.
If you item has just been listed, you will be quite high on the newly listed search order but if the person chooses ending soon your ebook auction is way down in the pecking order for now, but as time goes on you will move up the ending soon items and your ebook will get viewed that way, its a known fact that most ebay auctions see most of the action nearing the listing end date.
Now if you have an ebook that you are using to build your mailing list it will probably be 1p and be right up the item rankings for lowest price first, or if you have an ebook you are specifically using to get backend sales for another item, make it a low price too and get it seen more.
If you have an exceptionally great ebook, with a lot of interest, raise the price, what i hear you say???? yes get that price hiked up, if someone is looking for an ebook and change the search order to highest first, you want your ebook at the top, check to see which ebook is highest first price and make yours the same or 1p higher, you ebook auction will then be right at the top time and time again. Dont think people wont buy it because of the price, a high price makes people think its high quality!
So remember try and maximise the amount of times your ebay auction will be viewed, it will get more bids and more sales, and also remember, dont panic! most of any ebay auctions, not just ebook auctions, have a frenzy of bids as the ending item time grows closer and closer.

If you item has just been listed, you will be quite high on the newly listed search order but if the person chooses ending soon your ebook auction is way down in the pecking order for now, but as time goes on you will move up the ending soon items and your ebook will get viewed that way, its a known fact that most ebay auctions see most of the action nearing the listing end date.
Now if you have an ebook that you are using to build your mailing list it will probably be 1p and be right up the item rankings for lowest price first, or if you have an ebook you are specifically using to get backend sales for another item, make it a low price too and get it seen more.
If you have an exceptionally great ebook, with a lot of interest, raise the price, what i hear you say???? yes get that price hiked up, if someone is looking for an ebook and change the search order to highest first, you want your ebook at the top, check to see which ebook is highest first price and make yours the same or 1p higher, you ebook auction will then be right at the top time and time again. Dont think people wont buy it because of the price, a high price makes people think its high quality!
So remember try and maximise the amount of times your ebay auction will be viewed, it will get more bids and more sales, and also remember, dont panic! most of any ebay auctions, not just ebook auctions, have a frenzy of bids as the ending item time grows closer and closer.
